Heroes of Ruin was scheduled for release in North America on June 26th. n-Space has revealed, however, the game has been delayed until July 17th. The game will launch on its scheduled date of June 15th in Europe.

Capcom has announced they will soon reveal new details about Monster Hunter 4 at their Capcom Summer Jam event in Japan. The event will be held from the 30th of June to the 1st July. The details will, of course, be posted to this blog.

Nintendo will host two live streams during E3 2012. There’s the main presentation at 9am PDT on June 5th, which will cover all sorts of goodies for the 3DS and the Wii U. But there’s also a “Software Showcase”. This is on June 6th at 6pm PDT and will focus entirely on the software coming to both those platforms.

The fact that they seemingly need to host two presentations surely suggests they have some big stuff to show. Oh, and we’re less than a week away. How exciting.

The latest issue of Nintendo Power in North America has confirmed that a Castlevania game is coming to the 3DS. The game, officially titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, is set 25 years after the events of Lords of Shadow and will follow Trevor Belmont as he tries to stop Dracula. You’ll also eventually be able to play as three other characters, including Simon Belmont.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate is scheduled to launch in North America this fall. You can check after the break for the first scans from the game.

Estaphette, a street artist from France has created a huge homage to Rayman Origins, the entirety of which you can click here to see. It’s not super-related to the 3DS, but it does give me half a reason to mention Exit Through the Gift Shop, an excellent documentary about street art

Nintendo has announced they will be bringing many games and attractions to the MCM Expo London Comic-Con this year as part of their Nintendo Unleashed tour. If you head to the event from the 25th of May to the 27th of May, you’ll be able to play many titles, including Kingdom Hearts 3D, Heroes of Ruin and Mario Tennis Open. There will also be a special area where you’ll be able to trade, battle and win augmented reality cards for Kid Icarus: Uprising. If you’re in the area, check it out.

The above pamphlet has confirmed that a demo for Etrian Odyssey IV is planned for Japan and that the data from within the demo will be transferrable to the final game if you choose to pick it up. We’re not sure when the demo will be released, but the full game is available in Japan from July 5th.

David Gibson, the Head of Software & Services for Macquarie Capital Securities Japan, has said it’s “unlikely” that Monster Hunter Tri G will be localized. This is based on the (supposed) lack of support for Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii. Now, he doesn’t work for Capcom, so he may not be privy to their plans, and various hints have suggested we will see the game in the west. But I’m amazed Capcom can’t just say “it’s happening” or “it’s not happening”. They’ve made us wait long enough.

There’s a rumor floating around that Geno from Super Mario RPG, Isaac from Golden Sun and Mega Man will be in the next Smash Bros. game. This is supposedly coming from the Twitter page of Masahiro Sakurai, but it has already been confirmed as fake. Don’t expect any details about the game for a long while.

Castlevania: Mirror of Fate is practically confirmed for the 3DS, and Paul Gale – a video games journalist – has shared the first details about the game. Supposedly, the game has been in development for over a year and a half and will feature “two different playable characters” and “co-operative play with the prospect of 3DS and Wii U being able to interact with each other”.

The game will be a 2D experience and will have “creative ways to utilize the 3DS’ cameras”, meaning:

The forward facing camera will act as a mirror and the outward facing cameras will come into play for a new puzzle solving mechanic.
(This is the reason for the game’s “Mirror of Fate” sub-title.)

This seems like a done deal, and with only a couple of weeks until E3 2012, it shouldn’t take long before we hear more about it. Who’s excited?
