5th Cell is working on Scribblenauts Unlimited for the Wii U and the 3DS. In the handheld version, there is support for StreetPass which allows you to exchange solutions to the game’s puzzles with people that you pass in the street. The game itself will available before the end of 2012.

This is coming from a Time Warner job listing:

The Partner Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day relationship and ongoing marketing activities with several key Mobile, Tablet, Connected TV and Game Console digital partners for HBO GO and MAX GO. Partners include Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Samsung, Roku, as well as any new partners that will launch HBO/MAX GO in the future.

As you can see, there’s mention of Nintendo in regards to where the HBO Go app will be available. This could just be for the Wii U. That does seem like the more likely platform. But if it arrives on one, it’d make sense to arrive on both. Or at least, that’s my thinking.

Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid has shared his plans for E3 2012, revealing that both Bomb Monkey and ATV Wild Ride 3D will be playable at the event. There’s also talk that Bomb Monkey may be available before the end of June, having “been submitted to Nintendo for final approval”. ATV Wild Ride 3D is still, however, “a few months away from completion”. If you’re at the event, get in touch with Jools, since he hopes to:

… capture some video footage of people enjoying the multiplayer mode of Bomb Monkey at E3 for a trailer I’d like to release around the time of the games’ release.

And just like that, you could be internet famous. Exciting proposition, eh?

Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid has shared this message via Twitter:

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that LEGO Lord of the Rings is coming to the 3DS. The game will cover the story of the The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, and will be available in North America this fall.

Kotaku thinks that, because of the recent price drop of the DSi and DSi LL, and the fact that Amazon’s Japanese website has run out of all 3DS stock, Nintendo may be planning to announce a 3DS model at E3 2012. To me, it feels too early. I’d expect a new model of the 3DS next year, rather than this year. I’m very good at predicting these sorts of things. But what do you think?

Nintendo has filed a patent that would allow you to manipulate the contents of the top screen of the 3DS with the stylus, but without a physical connection between the two. This would be possible through the use of the front-facing camera on the 3DS. It would detect a “marker” at the tip of the stylus, allowing the device to:

…calculate the marker’s position in 3D space based on its size and position, using that information to manipulate an item on the top screen.

The patent also reveals the concept of a stylus with vibration functionality. This would allow you to “feel” the objects you’re manipulating on the screen, similar to what we’ve seen already in home consoles. For the time being though, these concepts are just that: concepts. But maybe we’ll see them in the real world. Nintendo is at least thinking about it.
